The job of a bus driver is not difficult. You spend most of your time driving, while the fare collectors earn the bulk of the salary.

A bus driver is responsible for several tasks. Firstly, they drive and maintain buses to ensure they are road-ready. Secondly, they collect fares from passengers before boarding and after disembarking. Thirdly, they provide customer service to all their passengers during their journey.

Some bus drivers also have a security role on board as well as collecting fares from passengers before boarding and after disembarking so that every passenger pays what's due for the ride. Bus drivers may also need to enforce certain rules set by the company or local transportation authority such as prohibiting food or drink on board buses or requiring that backpacks be stored under seats for safety purposes.
