INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS OFFICER

Industrial relations officer represents industrial, commercial, union, employers or other organizations for industrial negotiations. 
Industrial relations officer is responsible to promote effective organizational practices among employees and employers. An Industrial relationship also known as employee relationship officer, Union negotiator is expected have knowledge regarding labour laws/ statutory compliances.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES OF AN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS OFFICER

-Advise on the operation of industrial agreements.
-Negotiate rates of pay and conditions of employment on behalf of employees and employers.
-Develop and administer policies on different employee classifications and wage structures.
-Maintain or assist in developing good relationships between employers and employees.
-Advise on and negotiate in enterprise based agreements.
-Represent industrial groups in front of industrial tribunals.
-Conduct research relating to industrial relations, such as how changes in work practices affect productivity.
-Study and interpret relevant legislation.
