Instrument and control engineers are responsible for the design and installation of instruments, controls, and process automation for manufacturing plants. They often work in a team with other engineers to ensure that the plant is running smoothly.

As instrument and control engineers have an influence on the safety of a plant, they must be able to anticipate any potential problems before they happen.

One of the most important aspects of an instrument engineer’s job is to make sure that all instruments are working properly. They also need to make sure that there are no leaks or any other issues with pipes or pumps. Instrument and control engineers also work closely with production managers in order to keep track of how much material is being used in each batch so they can figure out how much material needs to be ordered next time.
