Soldiers are the backbone of any military force. They are called to serve their country and protect its people. There are many different types of soldiers, each with a specific role in the military.

A soldier's career is one that is both rewarding and challenging. The training for a soldier can be rigorous and the commitment can be long-term, but the rewards are many.

 

A soldier is a person who fights as part of an army.

Soldiers are usually trained to fight and defend in combat, and are often trained for police duties. They may also be trained to use firearms or other weapons, such as grenades, rocket launchers, or artillery.

In most countries soldiers can only be civilians who have signed up for military service when the country is at war.

A soldier is a person who has undergone extensive military training and can be called upon to serve in a combat or peacetime role.

The job requirements for becoming a soldier are the following:

- Minimum of 18 years of age

- Must be mentally and physically fit

- Must have completed 10+2 examination or equivalent

- Must not have any criminal record.

Eligibility in India: A candidate must be an Indian citizen and should not be less than 18 years old. He/she should also fulfill the other requirements mentioned above for the job. The scope of this profession is not limited to one particular place, but it can be carried out anywhere in the world.

The Indian Army is the world's third-largest army with 1.4 million active personnel and 960,000 reserve personnel. The Indian Army is a voluntary force and comprises mostly of young people from rural areas.

The Indian Army has a wide range of responsibilities, including protecting the sovereignty and integrity of India’s borders, defending India from external aggression, maintaining peace and security within its borders, promoting friendly relations with other countries and providing humanitarian assistance in times of need.

Some job requirements for the Indian Army are:

- Minimum height of 5 feet 4 inches (163 cm) - Minimum age 18 years - 12th standard pass or equivalent qualification from any recognized Board/University - Good health as certified by medical examination
